Memory Summary: Heiji recalls being thrown off a cruiseliner (The Symphony Serial Murder Case)
Gained Through: Cooking contest
Date: Day 30

Link (to 46:03)

What was learned/Summary:
* In the late of night, Heiji was investigating the bow of a large cruiseliner. There was a man's body tied to the front of the boat, below the deck level so that it would be hidden from normal view
* When he tried to climb back on deck, someone struck him from behind
* Heiji fell into the water with his flashlight as the cruiseliner's rear propellers approached
* Once he managed to recover his flashlight, Heiji took off most of his clothes to prevent himself from sinking and started signaling with the light in hopes of being rescued

Effects:
* Heiji is more consciously aware of why things like dead bodies and being in danger don't bother him as much as they probably should
* Well, compared to that, being dunked in ice-cold water isn't so bad...
* How did he escape, though? Was he rescued?
* Wtf was he doing out there?

Memory Summary: Heiji takes a gamble with his life during a kidnapping (Hattori Heiji's Desperate Situation)
Gained Through: Calhoun Hour, avoiding robots
Date: Day 34

Link (8:51 to 14:31)

What was learned/Summary:
* Heiji is trapped in the attic of a woman's home by the woman and her two henchmen. They are desperate to recover the 7-digit pin of a safe deposit box owned by Kusukawa, a man who has hidden away evidence of the woman's corrupt professional practice. Having beaten Kusukawa into what they believe is his death, they demand that Heiji solve the code that will tell them the pin number.
* Just as the woman is done waiting and is about to kill Heiji and the girl with him, Heiji distracts her, hoping that Kusukawa can use the opportunity to grab the woman's gun. Unfortunately, the attempt doesn't work, and the criminals threaten to shoot Heiji in the head unless Kusukawa gives them the code.
* Heiji tells Kusukawa not to give up the code as the woman begins counting to five. Just as she's about to pull the trigger, a text message arrives on Heiji's cell phone -- an encoded message, in reply to the message he sent earlier.
* Heiji decodes the message at once, and realizes that help is waiting outside. He bluffs the criminals into believing that a famous detective will quickly piece together the crime if the kidnapping victims, all of them his acquaintances, suddenly disappear in conjunction with the appearance of the strange code.

Effects:
* Heiji has been kidnapped before
* He remembers he had a partner he trusted implicitly
* He's gambled with his life in the past
* He has the resolve to die if necessary
