Everyone starts with three hearts, just like in Zelda. Characters lose or gain hearts depending on a super complex secret formula based on trust, conversational affinity, relationship dynamic, length of time known, and other important totally not BS factors that I made up.

▍Light
Light Averly, aka "Snake". A graduate student in physics, probably based in the Pacific Northwest (US). My first partner. He has a sharp tongue and some really bad judgment sometimes, but I guess he's a good guy deep down. Has a friend or relative (?) who was really important to him.

His reasoning is the opposite of how Hershel and I break things down. But that's why he's worth listening to. I really value his opinion. Probably he'd have some smartass remark if I said that, though.

He didn't have to say those things about me, but he did. He's a better person than he thinks he is.

I'm not leaving without him.

Recent notes: Cute...

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

▍HERSHEL
Hershel Layton. A softhearted British teenager who's interested in archaeology and fencing. Really likes puzzles, but somehow keeps getting caught in traps. He's got a bigger heart than anyone I know, but it's easy to let this deathtrap get you down.

We've had some rough times and some really fun times together. I can talk to him about pretty much anything. Lately, it seems like I'm rubbing off on him...? Likes stars, dancing, and redheads.

We'll get out of here together.

Recent notes: Check out the intrepid explorer! Soon you'll be cracking bullwhips and dodging giant stone boulders!

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

▍SASUKE
Sasuke Sagami. Mostly a mystery. He looks like a middle-schooler, and he's from the Kanto area, judging from Snake's account. Moves extremely quietly, used to do kendo. Theory: into some kind of climbing?

Kind of hard to read his face, but he bore that gash to his hand like it was nothing. Another weirdo like me and Jake. Whatever's bothering him, I hope he talks to someone about it. I could just be imagining things, though.

Gonna get him to have some fun one of these days.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

▍JAKE
Jake Muller. A Ukrainian guy who likes borscht and hates spending money. Doesn't say much, so it was really hard to figure out what he was thinking. I was paired up with him early on with Hershel, who vouched for him. When he voted Ally against us, you could've knocked me over with a feather. I'm glad I trusted Hershel's judgment on that one. Even more hotheaded than me, runs into traps a LOT.

Despite appearances, is in his twenties (??). Balding, but don't mention it.

I think I understand him a little better now.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

▍KUZURYUU
Kuzuryuu Fuyuhiko. A short fella in a pin-striped suit. Talks really tough (compensation?), but he's as good as his word. That's the impression I get, anyway. Not afraid of getting his hands dirty. Abrasive, but good at puzzles. Whoever named him must have had some awful high expectations.

He seemed really insistent that Hershel and Simon 'wait till they're married'... a closet romantic?

Recent notes: You're alright, dude.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

▍EMA
Ema Skye. Thought I understood her a little, but I guess not. Not afraid of blood or body parts (used to them?). Betrayed me and Jake during Round 7 for a first aid kit. Would've just given her the vote if she'd asked.

Doesn't like talking about her problems.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

▍CLIVE
Clive Dove. Spent a month trying to get into the cafeteria before betraying Piper. During Round 7, his opponent Zelos suddenly fell into a half day's coma. Mentioned he'd had trouble sleeping the past night. The story matches up. It's definitely suspicious, but evidence is everything.

It's not even like I wouldn't understand, sort of, if that's what happened. I saw what happened to him.

I want to believe in him.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

▍ZELOS
Zelos Wilder. Seems like a smart guy, but he's betrayed two people so far -- maybe gotten played in turn. He came out ahead in points early, and he's been leading ever since... but I wonder if people are really going to start resenting him for it.

Plays a mean game of Truth or Dare.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

▍PIPER
Piper Chapman. Showed up with human bite marks on her hand and a bright orange prison jumpsuit on her person. Seems like she's got a real passion for following the rules, so how'd she end up in jail?

Seems kinda familiar somehow. Maybe I knew someone like her in the past. Does NOT get along with Kuzuryuu.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

▍SIMON
Simon Keyes. Introduced himself as 'Shy Monkeys' at first. From those loud clothes, I thought he might be in the entertainment business... only he seems like the kind of guy to get major stage fright.

Frequently injured, frequently apologizes. Low self-esteem? Possibly friends with Sasuke. Really likes pink. And baking?

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

▍ENJOLRAS
Some French guy. Don't know much about him.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

▍KOTETSU
Kotetsu T. Kaburagi. One of the people Clive trusted the most. Pretty chill for an old guy, but the first to come down with the strange illness.

Missing.

▍AOI
Asahina Aoi. One of the people Clive trusted the most. Liked donuts a lot, used to be a high school swimmer.

Missing.

▍COLETTE
Colette Brunel. A sweet girl who was friends with everyone and a great singer. With a voice like that, she could totally have gone pro. That's what I think, anyway. Traded her some bandages for a few coins.

Missing.

▍KARIYA
Kariya Masaki. A soccer player who lent me some of his coins.

Missing.

▍AKIKO
A nice girl from Tokyo who loved video games and gossip. She was murdered to protect someone else's secrets. Someone shoved her into the cafeteria and secured the doors. The explosive device in her bracelet went off in response to detecting itself in an unauthorized zone.

It happened on the night that Snake got himself stabbed in the hand. I was in the lounge, looking after him. If I had been with the others, maybe I could have stopped it from happening.

But maybe not. No one heard the killer draw her away. How did he do it? It had to be someone she knew, which means...

Deceased.

Memory Summary: Heiji takes a gamble with his life during a kidnapping (Hattori Heiji's Desperate Situation)
Gained Through: Calhoun Hour, avoiding robots
Date: Day 34

Link (8:51 to 14:31)

What was learned/Summary:
* Heiji is trapped in the attic of a woman's home by the woman and her two henchmen. They are desperate to recover the 7-digit pin of a safe deposit box owned by Kusukawa, a man who has hidden away evidence of the woman's corrupt professional practice. Having beaten Kusukawa into what they believe is his death, they demand that Heiji solve the code that will tell them the pin number.
* Just as the woman is done waiting and is about to kill Heiji and the girl with him, Heiji distracts her, hoping that Kusukawa can use the opportunity to grab the woman's gun. Unfortunately, the attempt doesn't work, and the criminals threaten to shoot Heiji in the head unless Kusukawa gives them the code.
* Heiji tells Kusukawa not to give up the code as the woman begins counting to five. Just as she's about to pull the trigger, a text message arrives on Heiji's cell phone -- an encoded message, in reply to the message he sent earlier.
* Heiji decodes the message at once, and realizes that help is waiting outside. He bluffs the criminals into believing that a famous detective will quickly piece together the crime if the kidnapping victims, all of them his acquaintances, suddenly disappear in conjunction with the appearance of the strange code.

Effects:
* Heiji has been kidnapped before
* He remembers he had a partner he trusted implicitly
* He's gambled with his life in the past
* He has the resolve to die if necessary

Memory Summary: Heiji recalls being thrown off a cruiseliner (The Symphony Serial Murder Case)
Gained Through: Cooking contest
Date: Day 30

Link (to 46:03)

What was learned/Summary:
* In the late of night, Heiji was investigating the bow of a large cruiseliner. There was a man's body tied to the front of the boat, below the deck level so that it would be hidden from normal view
* When he tried to climb back on deck, someone struck him from behind
* Heiji fell into the water with his flashlight as the cruiseliner's rear propellers approached
* Once he managed to recover his flashlight, Heiji took off most of his clothes to prevent himself from sinking and started signaling with the light in hopes of being rescued

Effects:
* Heiji is more consciously aware of why things like dead bodies and being in danger don't bother him as much as they probably should
* Well, compared to that, being dunked in ice-cold water isn't so bad...
* How did he escape, though? Was he rescued?
* Wtf was he doing out there?

character
NAME: Heiji Hattori
SERIES: Detective Conan
WIKI LINK: [link]

PERSONALITY: Heiji is a cheerful, friendly young man who's proud of his roots and passionate about solving mysteries. Since his father is the top official at Osaka Prefectural Police Headquarters and often enables his interests, Heiji has helped solve the puzzle behind many a murder... and in the process, gotten himself shot, kidnapped, tossed over the side of a boat, and attacked by a murderer with a katana. Despite his knack for getting into trouble, however, Heiji is rarely down for long, and tends to regard danger as part of the job. He comes back in each story arc cheerful as ever, ready to challenge his rival to a reasoning contest or invite people to go sightseeing with him.

While Heiji has a clever, analytical mind and is easily capable of cracking codes or making excellent split-second decisions, he also has a tendency to be impulsive and emotional. While some detectives might see a slumped body through a window and think of preserving the crime scene, for instance, Heiji's first instinct is to rush over and try to administer medical attention in case they're still alive. He also has a strong competitive streak, which shows up in the way he'll often turn mysteries into a game of who can solve the puzzle first or declare someone a rival (usually Kudou Shinichi, a high school detective acquaintance of his who's about the same age).

Heiji is strongly invested in being the best detective he can be, proud of his background, eager to prove himself, and holds the safety of his friends (particularly his childhood friend, Kazuha) as being of the utmost importance. And though Heiji might seem quick-tempered at times, he's willing to listen to reason and criticism. When called out for compromising a crime scene to rush to a victim's aid or for treating a murder investigation like a game, for instance, he is visibly troubled by the possibility that he isn't up to the task of being a real detective. Of course, whether his reaction is to tone his behavior down or double down on his own recklessness is a bit of a coin toss, though in general Heiji takes his cases a little more seriously as the series proceeds.

Relationships with others:
Heiji is brave and loyal, able to risk his life for a friend's without a second thought -- which is also one of the reasons he keeps getting stabbed, shot, etc. While he may not be as coolheaded a detective as Shinichi is, Heiji is warm, easygoing, and generally able to get along with most people. For instance, though a high school kid butting into crime scenes might easily stoke resentment on a police force, Heiji maintains cordial relations with the officers in his hometown, treating them like personal friends or family. Because of this, his knack for cracking cases, and his family connections in the police force, the police tend to regard him as an honorary detective rather than a civilian nuisance.

Heiji gets along well with both of his parents and respects his father, who he recognizes as a better detective than he is. He also maintains good overall relations with Kazuha, though they are prone to bickering. At the same time, Heiji is often unable to be honest with himself about his feelings toward Kazuha. It's fairly clear throughout the series that he has a crush on her (the bickering is an extension of this), but is only able to talk about how important she is to him when their lives are in danger: as soon as they're safe again, he retreats back into pretending nothing ever happened.

Though Heiji displays interest in most any detective, especially those his own age, he is especially interested in Shinichi, whom he sees as a rival. Much to Shinichi's annoyance, Heiji is constantly showing up to invite him to Osaka, signing up for detective retreats at which he's sure Shinichi will be present, and challenging him to reasoning battles. Nevertheless, the two of them work well together, often complementing each other whenever they're on the same case.

AU DETAILS: Heiji remains a high school student with a keen interest in solving mysteries. His closest relationships -- with his father, mother, Kazuha, and Shinichi -- remain basically the same in tone, though the apocalypse would no doubt have put a damper on the whole being-able-to-tag-along-on-police-cases setup. Though Heiji's father tends to allow Heiji a lot of leeway in poking his nose into murder cases, it would be very unlikely that either of Heiji's parents would support him wandering into situations in which he could get seriously hurt or kidnapped. Still, Heizou's work keeps him extremely busy, and Heiji has a knack for finding trouble. As a result, Heiji has become practiced at thinking on his feet and knowing when to run for it.

Heiji is still an active sportsman. Though real kendo equipment isn't terribly easy to come across, he makes a point of practicing with improvised swords. For Heiji, retaining a sense of normalcy is important: he keeps in touch with friends, pitches in to help neighbors and strangers alike, and hopes for the day when everything can be normal again. Heiji is particularly concerned with Kazuha's wellbeing, though of course he's loath to actually acknowledge his feelings out loud. Though not an anxious person by nature, Heiji worries about his parents' safety -- his father because Heizou works in law enforcement and his mother because like Heiji, Shizuka has a way of poking her nose into trouble.

Though the world may be different, Heiji's strong sense of right and wrong (and inability to keep his mouth shut about it) remain the same. He cannot stand compromising his morals, and believes that all criminals must pay for their crimes as dictated by law, not vigilante justice. At the same time, Heiji is a firm believer in the ability of criminals to rehabilitate and return as productive members of society.
AU/MEMORY LOSS EFFECTS: Heiji already comes from a modern-day setting, and losing his memories would not affect his natural curiosity or keen interest in solving mysteries. However, prior to having his approach to solving mysteries tempered somewhat by meeting Shinichi, Heiji tended to regard murder cases as puzzles to be solved or competitions to be won, sometimes forgetting the human element in the process. Without his memories, Heiji would be more reckless, eager to prove himself, and prone to running off after hunches. However, at his core, he would remain a kindhearted, friendly person who likes to chatter.

Character: Hattori Heiji
Fandom/Series: Detective Conan
Original or Alternate Universe: Original

Canon Used: anime

Age: 17
Gender: male
Species: human

Appearance: Heiji is a tall Japanese boy who favors casual clothing. He has short dark hair and a naturally darker-than-usual complexion, which other characters occasionally remark upon. For example, an American English teacher mistakes him as non-Japanese because of the combination of his skin color and his accent, which is the regional Osaka manner of speech.
(link)

Personality:
Heiji is a cheerful, friendly young man who's proud of his roots and passionate about solving mysteries. Since his father is the top official at Osaka Prefectural Police Headquarters, Heiji has helped solve the puzzle behind many a murder... and in the process, gotten himself shot, kidnapped, tossed over the side of a boat, and attacked by a murderer with a katana. Heiji seems to regard danger as part of the job, easily bouncing back from each danger he encounters to come back in his next story arc, ready to challenge his rival to a reasoning contest or invite people to go sightseeing in Osaka with him.

While Heiji has a clever, analytical mind, easily capable of cracking codes or split-second decisions, he also has a tendency to be impulsive, even rash.

Heiji is brave and loyal, able to risk his life for a friend's without a second thought -- which is also one of the reasons he keeps getting stabbed, shot, etc. While he may not be as coolheaded a detective as Shinichi is, Heiji is warm and easygoing; even the police detectives he occasionally works with don't seem to resent him being on the crime scene, teenager or no. He maintains cordial relations with many of them, greeting them as he might older and more experienced friends.

Heiji gets along well with both of his parents and greatly respects his father, who he recognizes as a better detective than he is. He also maintains good overal relations with his childhood friend, Kazuha, though they are prone to bickering. At the same time, Heiji is often unable to be honest with himself about his feelings toward Kazuha. It's fairly clear throughout the series that he has a crush on her (the bickering is an extension of this), but is only able to talk about how important she is to him when their lives are in danger... and naturally, as soon as they're safe again, he retreats back into pretending nothing ever happened. At the same time, both of them have risked their lives to save the other, and they often accompany each other on trips to Tokyo for some event or other.

Though Heiji displays interest in most any detective, especially those his own age, he seems especially interested in Shinichi, even showing up in Tokyo to declare them rivals. Much to Shinichi's annoyance, Heiji is constantly showing up to invite him to Osaka, signing up for detective retreats at which he's sure Shinichi will be present, and challenging him to reasoning battles. Still, the two of them work well together, often complementing each other whenever they're on the same case.

While he is generally easygoing, it's also easy to make Heiji lose his cool or cut him down. He's strongly invested in being the best detective he can be, proud of his background, eager to prove himself, and holds the safety of his friends (particularly Kazuha) as something of the utmost importance. When a fellow detective berates him for compromising a crime scene to rush to a victim's aid, for instance, he's shown expressing maybe he did fail in his duty as an investigator. And when he discovers the culprit of a murder at his high school kendo tournament, he rushes off and ends up confronting the murderer alone rather than waiting for backup.

Strengths/Abilities:
Heiji is an accomplished kendo practitioner; despite being a high-schooler, he stands at the top of the Osaka kendo scene and is capable of blocking sword strikes with something as small as a cell phone, or landing and balancing on the back of a sword. He's also highly athletic, able to grab a second-story windowsill and pull himself up onto it without incident. However, he's not capable of tearing steel doors off their hinges, deflect gunshots, or any similar feat, and his physical abilities are regarded to be merely unusually athletic in the Detective Conan universe, not superhuman. He's capable of taking care of himself in a fight, but shooting him will still incapacitate him.

Heiji also has an eidetic memory and excellent motorcycle-riding skills.

Weaknesses:
Heiji doesn't really have any unusual physical weaknesses, just the normal human ones. He is perfectly capable of being suffocated, poisoned, stabbed, etc.

History:
Heiji is the son of Hattori Heizou, chief of the Osaka Police Department, and Hattori Shizuka, depicted as a graceful, elegant woman capable of deflecting a katana with a fan. He grew up in Osaka and, during his time there, took it upon himself to familiarize himself with most of its popular landmarks (Benkei's stone, Osaka Castle), signature dishes, and regional customs. He also became good childhood friends with Kazuha, the daughter of one of his father's close subordinates, although the two of them apparently got into the occasional bout of mischief (accidentally handcuffing themselves together, for instance).

This relationship persists even in the present, in which Kazuha often comes to Heiji's kendo practices or accompanies him on retreats; she even made him a protective charm containing one of the links from the handcuffs they ran afoul of as children. In return, Heiji is always on the lookout for Kazuha (In "And Then There Were No Mermaids", he risks his life to pull her up from a sheer cliff face; in "Heiji Hattori's Desperate Situation", he almost admits he cares about her while they're both captured and imprisoned by a murderous criminal).

While in Osaka, Heiji gradually accumulated fame as the "Detective of the West", a high school detective who solved over 1,000 different cases (including searching for lost pets as a child). Over time, however, another high school detective caught his eye: Shinichi, dubbed the "Detective of the East" as he was based in the Tokyo area.

Heiji eventually made his way to Tokyo to challenge Shinichi to a reasoning battle, only to find Shinichi not only under the weather, but afflicted with a bizarre medical condition that changed him physically into a child (while leaving his intellect intact, fortunately). Forced to hide his identity in order to hide from the deadly Black Organization, Shinichi was instead living under the pseudonym Edogawa Conan, solving mysteries by impersonating another detective. Despite this handicap and his poor health, Shinichi beat Heiji at his own game, correctly identifying the murderer (Tsujimura Kimie) and the method in which the crime was perpetrated (with a combination of a sedative and a poisoned needle, in a way that seemed to point to a locked room mystery).

Admitting defeat, Heiji retreated back to Osaka... only to resurface in the hopes of challenging Shinichi to another contest (The Holmes Freak case). Trapped in an isolated cliffside home with no easy way of escape, Heiji slowly became more and more suspicious of Conan's ability to get underfoot every time he started pursuing a clue or line of investigation. Eventually, he deduced that Conan wasn't just a kid playing at being a detective at all, but rather, a de-aged Kudo Shinichi. Heiji promised to keep the secret (after all, revealing Shinichi's identity would have endangered Shinichi's friends as well), becoming one of the few people to know Conan's true identity.

This set the stage for the rest of Heiji's appearances in Detective Conan; generally, Heiji will take it upon himself to show up in Tokyo for a consulting job, invite Shinichi over to Osaka, participate in some kind of mystery contest, or even help Shinichi out with a particularly difficult case/investigating the Black Organization. The two of them work remarkably well together, as each serves as a foil to the other.

Canon Point: After episode 490, a brief sort of flashback episode where Heiji and Shinichi compete in solving a murder at a ski resort.

First Person Sample:
[Heiji opens his eyes;  his head's spinning a little, but that sort of thing's common in his line of work. First things first. He's gotta examine his surroundings, figure out who kidnapped him, and how to --

Suddenly, there's a black and white man in front of him. No, not a man. Not exactly. His vision's clearing; the man's an image on a giant TV screen.]

The hell are you grinnin' about? If this is about a ransom--

[The man launches into his speech and Heiji quickly realizes it's not a live broadcast; this is a recorded message. Town of Luministi, Constantine Caligin, Mayor... what's going on here? What's this guy's angle? What's this about small-town life? He's in Osaka, ain't he?

The man blabs on about restaurants and libraries, but the weird thing is, he doesn't mention anything about the kidnapping. Or what he wants. Not even one threat. Heiji pays attention to the scene around the man instead, all of which looks slightly off, slightly unfamiliar. If this is a set, it's a good one, because nothing about the man's surroundings suggests Osaka. Or even Japan.

Heiji looks around, taking in his own surroundings as the message ends.]

Neat, nicely kept. If this is a criminal's hideout, they sure rolled out the red carpet. No, place like this'd be way too conspicuous.

[He makes his way to the living room, sees the bike, and starts examining it.]

A bike, huh? Guess he's not gonna let me have mine. No wear on the tires, no scratched paint...  this ain't even been ridden before.

[And then the gift basket. He goes through each item, smelling the fruit, examining the packets, pulling out the T-shirt.]

This fruit ain't been out long. Means someone else's been around recently. The heck's this shirt for? Bunch of coupons... if this is some scam, they're going all-out on it.

[That finished, he examines the letter.]

Same speech, huh? Well, time to get to the bottom of this.

[He flips his cap around, wearing it at a jaunty angle.]

You're gonna regret kidnapping Hattori Heiji!

Third Person Sample:
Heiji gripped the shinai in both hands -- right hand directly behind the guard, left hand towards the hilt –raised the bamboo sword up above his head, and in a short, controlled motion, brought it down in a swift arc. The tip came to a stop precisely at eye level. He’d performed this small, simple motion countless times over the years, so many times that he could probably do this in his sleep. Might very well have, actually, if he’d been the kind to bring the shinai to bed.

One. Two.

As he practiced his overhead swing, he ran over the details of one of his past cases. He wasn’t sure why he settled on the anniversary of that Kanou heist, but that seemed to be all he could think about at the moment. Receiving a strange invitation to solve a complicated mystery, meeting with Kudou and the others on board that cruising ship… and then finding the charred body of a former thief. Fire had warped the body, curling into the pugilistic pose of a veteran boxer, burned it to the point where they’d had to use his watch and a few details about his clothes and build to identify him.

He remembered looking for plausible hiding places on the ship, anywhere the killer might have been hiding. Finding the second body, and then, suddenly, finding himself pushed from behind into the freezing water below.

He’d been lucky. Lucky the boat’s propellers hadn’t caught him, lucky that the coast guard had picked him up. Lucky that his adversary hadn’t decided to give him a quick stab with a knife before shoving him overboard. Kazuha would probably have said that her charm had saved him. Sometimes, Heiji wondered. He wasn’t the type to believe in superstitions or curses; that came with the territory. But maybe someone or something out there was looking out for him, because despite copious injuries, a gunshot or two, getting attacked by a man with a sword, and nearly falling to his death, he was still in one piece.

Maybe he should thank her for giving it to him, see if she’d suddenly brighten as if he’d given her a personal compliment or just try to downplay it all, like she usually did. Or both, which was a distinct possibility for Kazuha.

…Nah. If he did that, she might think she was right about everything.

Species: fae
Role/Faction: Lord of Spring, Seelie Court
Strength: 3 (human), 4 (fox)
Magic: 7
Friends/Allies: Bam, CR chart
Enemies: none yet
Relationship status: single
Notable physical characteristics: As a human: Unusually dark-skinned for a Japanese kid. Plus dat eyelash game.
As a fox: Is a large black fox with multiple tails. That's fairly unusual...
Notable magical characteristics: Fire/lightning magic, shapeshifting, illusions.
Offensive subjects: Probably anything about Osaka not being literally the best thing on the planet, his accent, his skin/fur color, someone not remembering the statue of limitations on murder versus federal heists, poor detective work, bad food, killing his friends, blaming un-supernatural crimes on supernatural causes, suggesting that he drop a case to go eat something...

Basically, Heiji gets fired up easily although he usually forgets about whatever it is that got him worked up a few seconds later.
Warnings: Enjoys discussing murder mysteries and related subjects. Wanna talk about dead bodies?

Notes/Other: Just going to say ask first for everything, I'm usually pretty up for plotting stuff but it's easier imo if we just talk about it beforehand.

For romance I will say that flirting is probably fine and Heiji will probably even flirt back as long as they keeps it classy. He's a closet romantic who gets jealous easily when he's serious about someone and he's also aware of this, so he'll be open to dating but also try and keep it not-too-serious unless he's reasonably sure it's not going to blow up on him. No need to ask me if your character wants to ask him out. Run-on sentences.

In UG, Heiji operates under the alias of Heiji Hasegawa. When speaking English, he has an American accent. When speaking Japanese, he has an Osaka/Kansai accent.
